BACKGROUND
Mission Statement
Jesus was tempted to take His life by satan in the desert of wilderness (Matthew 4:4-11). In the wilderness there is isolation and temptation. This is when we look up to God our Father and thank Him.
If you or someone you know are going through a period of wilderness with thoughts of suicide, isolation, or temptation…

The Parable of the Lost Son
11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.
13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’20 So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.
We hope to promote sharing the Word of God and serving those who need it to fulfill our mission as followers of Jesus Christ.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan
25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]”
28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”
29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan,as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c]and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
This parable teaches us that the expert in the law wanted to justify himself by asking who he should serve as his neighbor by attempting to make a distinction in his heart but it is Jesus who led him to understand that it is helping the man we see on the way to Jericho.
We help our neighbor by putting our faith into action. The Good Samaritan put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn to take care of him. The next day he took from his own money and gave them to the inn keeper and agreed to cover his costs.
We hope to encourage more people to not only donate or make financial contributions but to serve others and be a blessing to others just as the Good Samaritan did to the man who was beaten and stripped of his identity.
We also hope to share Word and be a neighbor to women who suffer from violence.
The story of Ammon & Tamar tells of a woman who was violated by her older brother whom she loved and served. Tamar submitted to Ammon’s authority and was hated by him in the end.
2 Samuel 13:1-19
There are many women who are violated and who remain unseen and unheard. These are women who have been rejected by the ones that they placed their trust in.
We hope to lead many more used and abused women to Jesus, the true lover of our soul.
““Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. For your Maker is your husband— the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit— a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God. “For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back.”
Isaiah 54:4-7 NIV
